What Is PPF? Transparent Defense for Factory Paint.

A practical technical guide to product structure, professional installation and long-term care.

What is paint protection film?

PPF is a transparent layer applied over automotive paint. A quality TPU film conforms to complex panels and creates a sacrificial surface between factory paint and road hazards.

How is it made?

The TPU core, optical bonding layers, adhesive and functional top coat are combined under controlled conditions. Each layer affects clarity, flexibility and long-term performance.

Where is PPF applied?

Coverage ranges from impact-prone front panels to complete body protection, headlights, screens and piano-black interior trim.

Service life and removal

Series-specific warranty options span 5–7 years. A trained installer can remove the film with controlled heat and correct technique.

PPF and ceramic coating

PPF provides a physical barrier; ceramic coating adds a very thin chemical and hydrophobic surface. Compatible systems can complement one another.
